Summary
Vakt helps you follow prayer times, record prayers, receive reminders, see friend activity, find the qibla direction, and reflect after prayer.
Vakt stores the account and prayer information needed to provide social activity, reminders, history, and account recovery. Private reflection text is not shared with friends.
Data Vakt uses
Depending on the features you enable, Vakt may use:
- Location permission, to calculate local prayer times and qibla direction and to find nearby mosques when you request it.
- Notification permission, to send prayer reminders on your device.
- Your Apple account identifier, profile name, username, friendships, and related account settings.
- Prayer status and history, to provide your records, missed-prayer calendar, and friend activity.
- Purchase status from Apple, to confirm subscription access.
- Invitation claims and reward status, to prevent duplicate rewards and deliver eligible promotional offers.
We do not use this data for third-party advertising or tracking.
Location and prayer times
Vakt uses your location to calculate prayer times and qibla direction and, when requested, to search for nearby mosques. Where possible, the app works from the device and stores only what is needed for the app experience.
You can turn location permission off in iOS Settings. Some features may be less accurate if location is unavailable.
Spiritual content
Vakt may download approved religious or reflective content, such as Quran translations or short reflections, to show after prayer. Your personal reflection choice is not uploaded to our content system.
Purchases and subscriptions
Vakt subscriptions are handled by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your full payment card details. Apple may provide transaction status that lets the app know whether your subscription is active.
Retention and deletion
Account, friendship, prayer-history, and referral records remain until they are deleted under the app's retention rules or as required for security, fraud prevention, transaction records, and legal obligations.
You can request account deletion from the app. Some transaction and referral records may be retained where reasonably necessary to prevent abuse or meet legal obligations.
Your choices
- Disable location, notifications, or cellular data through iOS Settings.
- Manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple ID subscription settings.
- Delete the app to remove app data stored locally on your device.
- Contact us for privacy questions or deletion requests.
Third-party services
Vakt may rely on Apple services for purchases, notifications, and device permissions; Supabase for minimal backend features; Vercel for this website; and public content sources for approved spiritual content.
These services may process technical information such as IP address, request logs, diagnostics, or transaction status according to their own policies.
Children
Vakt is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can respond appropriately.
Changes
We may update this policy when Vakt changes. The effective date at the top of the page will be updated when the policy changes materially.

Accounts and social features
Vakt uses an account so you can keep prayer history, connect with friends, receive friend requests, and send limited prayer reminders. Friends may see the prayer-status information the app marks as visible.
Invitation codes associate the inviter and invited account, create a friendship, and record whether a qualifying purchase earned a reward. Vakt does not upload your address book and does not provide direct messages.
